The internet’s new favorite video game is like ‘Guitar Hero’ but with trombones

  If you liked “Guitar Hero” but wished it had more brass instruments, you’re in luck. A new rhythm game called “Trombone Champ” has struck a chord with users online, bringing the kind of much-needed levity to the internet that only a trombone can. Numerous videos have been shared on social media in recent days of avatars blasting their trombones with unbridled joy. At least 11 children among dead after gunman opens fire at school in Russia

At least 11 children were killed when a gunman wearing Nazi symbols opened fire at a school in the western Russian city of Izhevsk, Russian authorities said Monday. Fifteen fatalities have been recorded so far. Among those killed was the school’s security guard, head of the regional government Alexander Brechalovn said in a video statement. Investigators said 21 people, including 14 children, were injured, state news agency TASS reported. The shooter, who was reportedly wearing a black T-shirt with Nazi insignia and a helmet, died by suicide following the attack, according to TASS. Russian officials said the shooter was Artem Kazantsev, a local resident born in 1988 and alumni of the school where the shooting took place.
